Ator, The Fighting Eagle (1982)
In a land ruled by the sinister Spider Cult, a prophecy whispers of a warrior destined to bring their reign to an end. That warrior is Ator, born with a mark that foretells his fate. But fearing his power, the cult’s high priest seeks to destroy him before he can rise. Hidden away as a child, Ator grows into a formidable fighter, unaware of his true lineage—until tragedy strikes.
On the day of his wedding to Sunya, the woman he loves, the cult’s soldiers descend upon his village, abducting her and leaving Ator with only one path forward: vengeance. Guided by the seasoned warrior Griba, Ator embarks on a perilous journey, honing his skills and uncovering the secrets of his past. Along the way, he encounters Roon, a fierce Amazonian thief who becomes his ally, and faces trials that test his strength, including a deadly sorceress and a quest for a mystical mirrored shield.
As Ator storms the cult’s stronghold, he must confront the monstrous Ancient One—a giant spider lurking in the temple’s depths—and the treacherous schemes of those who seek power for themselves. With sword in hand and destiny at his back, Ator fights not just for love, but for the freedom of his people.
