Big Trouble in Little China (1986)
Jack Burton is no hero—he’s a wisecracking, rough-and-tumble trucker who’s just looking to collect a debt from his friend Wang Chi. But when Wang’s fiancée, Miao Yin, is kidnapped by a ruthless Chinatown gang, Jack finds himself dragged into a supernatural battle he never signed up for.
Deep beneath the neon-lit streets of San Francisco, an ancient sorcerer named Lo Pan lurks, cursed to wander the earth as a ghostly shell of his former self. To break the spell, he must marry a woman with green eyes—Miao Yin. But Jack and Wang aren’t about to let that happen. With the help of the fearless Gracie Law, the eccentric magician Egg Shen, and a ragtag band of warriors, they plunge into the heart of Chinatown’s mystical underworld.
What follows is a whirlwind of martial arts mayhem, ancient magic, and Jack’s bumbling attempts to keep up with forces far beyond his understanding. As they battle Lo Pan’s deadly enforcers—the Three Storms, masters of elemental destruction—Jack realizes that sometimes, being the hero isn’t about knowing what you’re doing—it’s about charging in, guns blazing, and hoping for the best.
The villains in this film are so over the top crazy, it's lovely ...
And, of course, their leader ...
